    2. I am searching for Seaborn (Seaburn?) GARRETT b. c1837 SC, d. 1865 Columbia Co. AR, m. Sophia M. IRBY 1854 (in Pontotoc Co., MS). Children: William b. 1856, Minerva b. 1860, Monroe b. 1864, Eudora b. 1865. 2. Randy and Debbie Beaver
    3. Belva, I live in Union County, which borders Columbia county and will be happy to check the Sunday paper at the library for you if you like. Union, Ouachita, and Columbia county share a Sunday paper now. The library keeps copies of it, as well as the Democrat-Gazette. I will go by there today. The web address for the Democrat-Gazette is www.ardemgaz.com. But I didn't find it online. Debbie

    3. Belva, I would call the paper with the week of date of death and death date. Most papers will copy an obituary for a small fee. If it is really old then let me know as I may be able to locate a resource. 1. Re: Query about Magnolia and Waldo-Belva
    2. Russell Scott
    3. Magnolia is the county seat. You will find vital statistics there. Waldo is a smaller town in Columbia County. I too am looking for family buried near Waldo, the Parmers. I would check newspapers in and near Waldo and also in Magnolia. A mention in more than one is very possible. I don't have names of papers to check for you at the moment but if no one with the information responds e-mail me back and I can ask a reference librarian for you.
