Wiley married my Triple Great Grandfather's, Caleb Bethel Powell's daughter. She was Tabitha Elizabeth and they lived with Caleb and Letha Jane Bryant Powell during the Civil War. During which Wiley was serving. Caleb was Wiley's Uncle due to the fact that his sister married Wiley J. Jones Sr. in Alabama. Which is where Wiley J., Jr. and most of his siblings were born, in Limestone Co. Alabama if my memory is serving me right. I'm sorry but I don't have all my notes with me right now. Wiley Sr. was married in Alabama if I remember properly. I'll check my notes and be ready for your reply. Sorry I missed your instant message. I was outside preparing to go to the woods for the week-end. You will have to send me a link on the instant mesage board for the sites that you sent . Sometimes I can't get to them through the internet. It comes back as no results. I have put you on my Buddy List so I will surely catch you soon. James Peterson

Jane, I responded to your message to James before I received your post to me. I checked my file again and found Daniel J. Smith married to Elizabeth Reeves Nov 13 1859 in Columbia County. I don't have any children for them. About a year ago, my mother and I went to Magnolia and spent two days in the courthouse. I made a database from this information and therefore have quite a few loose ends. Daniel and Elizabeth are one of these. I did not realize that Reeves was not her maiden name. I was looking for the children and found no Emma (Emaline), Mary The only Susan Reeves I have was born in 1846 and married William E. Robertson in 1862. Is this the daughter of Elizabeth Scroggins and Jeremiah Reeves? I have two J.S. Reeves born in 1851 and 1855 married to Minnie Knight and Mary Jackson respectively. The only James Reeves I have are all too old to be the son of Elizabeth and Jeremiah. I would love to swap information with you. You could possibly confirm or destroy my thoughts on some lines. Looking forward to hearing from you. Jane, I have two Jeremiah Reeves in my file. Interestingly enough, the first one I found was born around 1800 and is married to a Jane Brazile. Is this a form of your name? At the time of Jeremiah's birth, they were in NC, but I don't know where they hooked up, so I don't know where the Brazile name came in. My other Jermiah (I don't know if I misspelled this or if I got it right and it is a variation of Jeremiah, I will look in the hard copies) was the sone of Jesse Reeves and was also born in Guilford County, NC, about 1780. I don't have an exact date, however his father was born in 1760. I don't have a spouse or any other info on this Jermiah. I have several Williams and Josephs, do you have any other info on these children? Looking forward to your reply. I am so thoroughly impressed with the responses. Maybe I should have asked this question myself...(grin). I am so glad you are all sending the families you are researching also. That helps those who are new to the list. Keep the activity going folks. I was so happy to see 100 emails in my box this morning with the majority of them from you. Jane: I don't know much about the Reeves except my Step-grandma was a Reeves. Minnie Orilla Reeves was born in Cullman County, Alabama in 1892. She married my Grandfather after his first wife died in 1918 Flu epidemic. Minnie had a Sister named Rose mae that married Alvin Sneed in Magnolia. She had two brothers named Richard and Coleman Reeves. Both lived around Magnolia. She also had a half sister ( I don't know her name) that I have a picture of that lived at Dalby Springs, Texas. I went to one of the Reeves re-unions at Magnolia once and was sent an invitation for years, but never went again. They always hold them between Dallas and Tyler Texas now. Hello, Claudia and Gina, My great great grandmother was Lucinda Tucker, born 1830 in Tennessee, married Jacob Grimmett in 1848 in Monroe County, TN. By approximately 1850 they were in southwest Arkansas, in Ouachita County. I do not know who Lucinda's father or siblings were. She named her children George Washington, Louisa R., John W., Sarah Elizabeth, and Jacob. Do you think there is any possible connection to your Tucker family?
