I know they lived in the Village, AR area, but none of my research has given me their burial place. I have no reason to believe they moved to another area. Thank you so much for helping us. 3. I received this from a person who visited our webpage and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or knew of a way to help. I told her to call the sheriff's department on the vandals but other than that I had no idea what else I could suggest. I know that Joe Woodard is trying to start a historical society here. Whether the cemeteries would fall under their supervision is questionable since I think most churches are responsible for the upkeep of their own cemeteries and the repair of damage. Please help if you can. I think it is a shame that someone would vandalize another's final resting place. I am writing to you out of concern of the Old Green Cemetry of Rd 60 near waldo/McNeal on the way to the big Shiloh Cemetery. Pass the crossroad about 200ft to the left is Rd 43. Just down that road about 100ft on left is the old Green Cemetry, before you get to Shiloh.. My GGgrandparents and Ggrandparents are buried there. I went yesterday and saw that people were shooting the stones (my Gggrandmother Elizabeth Reaves) with high powered rifles, and dumping trash rite at the gate. It is and old cemetry and in need of repair, maybe 50 graves. Nearly all are in some way kin to me. I've went and picked up limbs and cleaned but i can't stop the vandalizing. The stones are being broken and it just makes me sick. Can you please help me. I live in Ouachita Co and do not know who to contact about this. Most of my family is buried at Shiloh and Mt Nebo. All so the Old Powell/Jones cemetry off the Lake Columbia Rd. Its hard to find. I wish i could get help cleaning it up. My GGgrandmother Leatha Jane Powell is there.
