    1. Re: Rude
    2. Doris: Love you for your reply. I answered some of the look-ups privately and sure did not want to offend anyone. Now, I better clear that up because some of you know me and know I have never really worried about offending anybody. I have not got a posting from this Columbia County list in a while so it need ed a little transfusion. I thought it had died from neglect, but I was wrong. BUT, any body that desires a look-up can get me at my e-mail address and it is always is at the top of the post, but for you that can't see real good it is: [email protected] My old outdated computer is slow, but I will do what I can. 1. Re: Rude
    2. Neither do I intend to be rude, but I always thought "genealogy" was "people helping people". There are people who subscribe to lists that are hesitant to ask questions because of comments like this. It only takes a second to hit the delete key to those items with the subject of Columbia County 1880 for any of us who do not want to read them. I also have a couple of Columbia County resources, such as marriages and the Southwest AR Biographies published by the Gen Soc there. I also have the 1880 Census CD's done by LDS and they are very searchable. If I can help, I will be happy to do so. Doris

    2. I think it is entirely apropos to tell the list who you are searching for in Columbia Co. After all that is what the list is for in the first place. It may be best to start a new letter and say, "1880 census, Smith family", for instance. Then those who don't want to read them, can use the delete button. I will look up your people in Arkansas too, as it seems some of you may be having trouble finding them in Columbia Co. I will try to find them, even if they did not quite make it to Ark by then. Please give full names, dates, spouses' name, and some children, if you know them. Even the unusual names have twins out there! Carleen
