    1. Re: Owen and Richardson Family of Magnolia
    2. Hi Beverly, I'm Paulette Adkins Ezernack from Shreveport,La. The Lucious Elzey Owen is the father to Charles Ray Owen. Lucious's wife was Pearl Owen. Charles lives in Magnolia,Ark. My mom's Stewart and Traylor families had farms on the Louisiana and Arkansas State Line. The Owen family was there also. My mom said that her and the Owen children use to play together as children. Charles was curios here while back about his families so, he asked me if I could research his relatives. I did and this is how I recognized these families that you have posted here. I got to say that Charles was really surprised when he seen all his relatives. Some of the Owen families still live in and around Emerson and Magnolia,Arkansas. Charles's mom and dad is buried in the Christies Chapel Cemetery. I'm going to print what you have and show it to the family. Charle's daughter lives in Ft Worth,Tx. She'll be surprised.

    3. I would appreciate it very much when you have time to check for the name BLACKMON or BRAWLEY. I know they were in Columbia County, Arkansas in the 1860's. My Grandfather, George Washington BLACKMON died in 1870 and his wife Sarah BRAWLEY/BLACKMON took the children and came to Texas. But there were other BLACKMONS there also and I have not been able to trace them. G.W. BLACKMON is buried in a Waldo cemetery but I do not know the name. Jan Rubenkoenig

If anyone would like to view and see if there is a link to their families from Columbia County and Webster Parish the url is: http://gorrellonline.com In reference to the cemetery listing, please don't forget Hephzibah Cemetery. We could actually put some of the old photographs on there and maybe somebody would have an Uncle or Grandma that could identify them for us. The longer we wait the more of the old identifiers will be gone. I am willing to do it just need a litttle more know how.
