    2. Doris I would love to have your assistance in look ups if you are willing? Thanks so much and if you don't have time...that is fine also. This is a problem line, i.e, brick wall. I have a J. R. Wilkins born ca 1888 - been looking for his parents for a long time. We thought he was from the Spring Hill, LA area, but Webster parish did not reveal anything postive. Be glad to reciprocate here in Virginia Alice in Fluvanna county, VA

    1. Re: Marriage lookup request, HAYNES /THOMPSON
    2. Doris, Thank you so much! I am sure this is the John C. Haynes I was looking for. I really appreciate knowing his wife's maiden name. Now I wonder if anyone on this list sees a connection of Mary THOMPSON to their Thompson family? There are a number of Thompsons buried in Watts Cemetery on the Nevada/Columbia Co. line, but I do not think Mary is a direct descendant of these Thompsons. If she is, I don't have her listed. 3. Debbra, Does Book A contain the marriage of Ezekiel Strickland n 5-26-1834, died 4-9-1864 Battle of Pleasant Hill, La and Mary Elizabeth Leverett 3-16-1856? They lived in Dorcheat, Columbia Co., Ar (he was a pig farmer). I have no idea where she lived after his death except in Texas where she died 1920. I am also interested in where he was buried as a family letter indicated his father had gone to bring him back home. Debbra Szymanski wrote: > Othilla, > I have copied the marriages from Book A. 2. Doris, Could you please check the marriage records for a marriage of John HAYNES? I think, from the 1860 Columbia Co. census, that his wife's first name may have been Mary. They would probably have married sometime between 1850 and 1857, when their first child Edward was born. Thank you!
