Arkansas Gazette Sep. 15, 1924, Rison, Sep 14 - Funeral services for E.W. Farrar, who died at his home in Rison Wednesday were held Friday at the residence. Burial was in Greenwood cemetery. Mr. Farrar for many years was connected with the J.I. Porter Lumber Co. He is survived by his wife, four sons, and four daughters. Sept 15, 1924, Rison, Sep 14 - James Edwards, the 10 month old son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Walker of Rison died Thursday. Burial was in Greenwood cemetery. Dec. 6, 1925, Little Rock - The body of R.T. Wells, aged 74, who died Friday at a local hospital was sent to Monticello yesterday by Healey & Roth. He is survived by his wife, two sons, E.E. Wells of Little Rock and R.C. Wells of Wilmot, and two daughters, Mrs. Fannie Stewart of New Edinburg and Mrs. J.C. Crane of Ruston, La. Funeral services will be held there this afternoon. May 16, 1925, Rison, May 15 - D.M. Rhodes, aged 70 years, died suddenly at his home in Grant county, Tuesday. He is survived by his wife and four childen, Mrs. T.N. Poss, Mrs. B.F. Ashcraft, both of Pine Bluff, and Mrs. Elmore Cearley of Grapevine and Mrs. Adie Ramick of Louisville, Ky. May 16, 1925, Rison, May 15 - C.G. Kauffman, aged 69, died at his home in White Oak township Thursday morning. Aug 8, 1925, Carthage, Aug 7 - Mrs. Helena Gray Wylie, aged 73, died here Wednesday. Funeral services were held at Hampden Springs yesterday with the Rev. L.W. Evans of the Methodist church officiating. She is survived by six children: Joseph, Mary, Peter K., Hanna Evans, Julia Wylie and Mrs. W.J. Key, all of Carthage; one brother, William Gray of Kingsland, and a sister, Mrs. N.A. Clark of Princeton. Aug 8, 1925, Rison, Aug 7 - Harry Lester Adams, aged (31 or 81, hard to read), died at his home in Pine Bluff, Aug. 5. Mr. Adams was reared in Cleveland County. Besides his wife, he is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. Adams; one sister, Miss Mattie Adams and one brother, Will Adams, all of Rison. July 7, 1926, Pine Bluff, July 6 - Lois Jane Wylie, nine month old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.D. Wylie, 1910 Alabama street died at the home of her parents last night. She is survived by her parents, two small sisters, and her grandmother, Mrs. Amelia Griffin of Kingsland. Feb. 15, 1928, Rison, Feb. 14 - Catherine May Adams, aged 4, died at the home of her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. E.M. Veteto, a mile north of Rison, yesterday. Besides her grandparents, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Marcus Cameron, two sisters, and one bother, all of Rison.
