    3. Ark. Gazette, June 1, 1882: Dorsey Dots and Dashes: Toledo, Ark. May 29, 1882 - Dorsey county greenbackers met in convention at the courhouse on the 27th last. A very able speech was delivered by Col. John M. Bradley. The Colonel, as usual, spoke on almost everything. A great deal of interest and excitement was manifested, especially when it came to counting in the "lucky ones." Several were killed, though not totally destroyed. Nine men who came to the convention, loving their country with a patriotic zeal, left--ah, sad hearts, but not before first getting left. The democratic primary election primary came off on the 10th of June when the heart-breaking process will again be in order. If a man has no merit to commend him to the consideration of his fellow-citizens, then let him keep his mouth shut; but if he has merit his friends will learn it without him writing himself upon the third heaven. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
