This is the only reference to Eagle Creek that I find in my records: Arkansas Gazette July 28, 1860 page 2 col 6: Eagle Creek, Bradley County: Now is certainly the time for people to move to Arkansas. Come on! "Warm hearts and kind hands will give the welcome of other lands." Crops in this vicinity were never better than now. If we can only have one or two more rains we will make a third more corn than was made last year. Persons wishing to move from the old States to Arkansas, had better come quick while land is cheap and this fall in particular for we will have "hog and hominey" enough to feed the world.
