    3. Cleveland County History Lovers! In doing research on the Confederate Muster rolls, I have found several present day Cleveland County men (then Bradley County) from Company "A" of Hardy's Regiment of Arkansas Inf. This company was made up of those men not captured at Arkansas Post, formerly in Co "A" of William A. Crawfords Battalion. Hardy's Regiment was organized at Camp White Sulphur Springs in Jefferson County. NOW these enlistments of names like Sadler, Corker, and Lunsford show that they enlisted at Eagle Creek, Arkansas. Question, Where was Eagle Creek? I assume that it was in Miller or Smith since that would be where these men lived, But I don't know. Was it a branch off of BIG Creek? It must have been a "Known" location since several men gave that as the place of enlistment. Doyle Taylor Historian Camp White Sulphur Springs Historic Preservation Assoc.
