Jann-- Chowming's Ferry is located about 1 mile downstream from the mouth of Derreiseaux Creek where the high voltage power line crosses the Saline River, or approx. 2 miles upstream from the Hwy 79 crossing. It was where the Camden / Pine Bluff Road crossed the Saline during the Civil War. As for Vint's Bluff, I believe that is Vince Bluff, located half way between Mt. Elba and Hwy 15 crossing on the Saline. I don't know if it was ever used as a ferry. You can access it off the Rye Cut-off Road, a short-cut between Rye and Hwy 35 west of Pansy. Smitty ferry
