Benita, I know just enough about the Turners to be dangerous!! My gg-grandmother was Mona Josephine Turner born Feb. 1858. She supposedly was the daughter of Tom and Sally Turner, both born in North Carolina. She married first, to Wiley White in Cleveland Co., and after his death she married T.J. Lunsford. Again, supposedly, Tom Turner was killed in the Civil War. I can't find him on any census, or my blind eye doesn't see him, if he's there!
