The following Website has an excellent software program called, AniMap Plus that is most helpful in genealogical research. http://www.goldbug.com/ AniMap Plus SiteFinder Gold Bug Store Early American Gazetteer CD ROM Census View CDs North American Map Sets European Map Sets Civil War Maps England Map Sets Railroad Maps 1885 Maps with Alphabetical List of Towns & Counties Historic Map Libraries on CD ROM England-Ireland-Scotland-Wales CDs World Gazetteer 1895 CD FINDING THOSE OLD TOWNS & COUNTIES Just about every researcher deals with the problem of finding an old town that has long-since disappeared from the map. Or, you have a known location but it was not in the same county 100 or 200 years ago. AniMap Plus now has solutions to these problems. This upgraded version of our program that will display over 2,300 maps in color to show the changing county boundaries for each of the 48 adjacent United States for every year since colonial times. Includes all years, not just the census years. Maps may be viewed separately, or the program can set them in motion so you can automatically view the boundary changes. Maps of the full U.S. are also included showing the changes in state and territorial boundaries from 1776 to the present. Each map includes a listing of the changes from the previous map making it simple to keep track of parent counties. There are four speed adjustments in the "run" mode as well as being able to advance by single frames. MARK THE SPOT........ A unique "place marker" feature allows you to place up to 50 markers of varying designs and colors on a map, then change the year to observe the placement (the maps remain in the same position and scale on the screen). This is very convenient for marking the location of towns that were shifted from one county to another. You can now save sets of markers for future reference and a new feature which will let you add labels to your markers. SITEFINDER DATABASES NOW INCLUDED ON THE ANIMAP CD..... SiteFinder contains listings for more than 200,000 places in the United States plus more than 35,000 variant names. Each listing gives the name of the place, the county where it is (or was) located, and includes latitude-longitude coordinates for 97% of them. Included in the listings are: Cities & towns, Railroad Stations, Trading Posts, Farms & Ranches, Plantations, Ruins,Country Schools , Stagecoach Stops, Mining Camps, Ghost Towns ...and more. The SiteFinder Cemetery database is also included which lists locations for more than 100,000 cemeteries throughout the U.S. Much of the information in SiteFinder has been extracted from the US Geological Survey files and records of the US Post Office. Many of the locations are places that are no longer in existence or those that have had name changes. While it does not list every place that ever existed, we believe you will find it to be the best source available. The SiteFinder browsing software will search for names (partial or complete), do wild card searches if you are unsure about the spelling or have unreadable letters in the name. You can also get a complete list of sites in any given county. A new feature in our browser lets you retrieve a list of locations within a specified number of miles (between 1 and 99) from your chosen location. PLOT TOWNS ON YOUR MAPS You can pluck items from the SiteFinder databases and plot them directly on the map with just a few clicks of your mouse. The location will appear on your map and remain in place when you switch the map to different years. LATITUDE/LONGITUDE AND MILEAGE A display on the AniMap screen shows you that latitude and longitude coordinates of the cursor. Another feature will let you measure the mileage between any two points on the map. PRINT OR EXPORT ..... All maps can be printed directly from the program, in black-and-white or color, or you may export them to a Bitmap (.bmp) file to use in word processing or desktop publishing programs. You can also use a paintbrush program to enhance the maps with additional text, colors, etc. OVERLAYS! Arkansas Game & Fish Commission has a very good book called "Arkansas Outdoor Atlas". It has maps of every county in the state. It shows the Sections, Townships and Ranges. The Sections are not divided up. The book is about 11 x 17 and each county according to its size will use either one or two pages to display its map. The map shows all the county roads and even the timber access roads. It some cases it will even display (by a dot) where a dwelling is at. I purchase mine about 2 years ago and it was $18.95. I recommend calling the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission to get the details how to order the Atlas. You can purchase it from: Arkansas Game & Fish Commission Publications Sales 2 Natural Resources Drive Little Rock, Ar 72205 Ph: 501-223-6351 Hope this helps. I also checked the 1880 and 1900 censuses and found no Meadows family listed in the township (Tisdale at that time) where the City of Rison is now located.

Hello list, It's been really quiet lately.... I just wanted to let you know a couple of things. First I am changing my email address to [email protected] I will no longer be using [email protected] or [email protected] I may have missed a few of you in my private messages, so please make note. The second thing is that I am still working on the county page eventhough I haven't added anything to it lately. It's been very busy for me, and I just haven't been able to get the records entered. I still plan to add as much information as I can, I am just not able to get it on as quickly as before. I very much appreciate all the help and support you all have given me. I couldn't have done any of it without help. I big thanks to you all. I do want to explain to those who are subscribed to the change detection feature on the Cleveland County Site, that sometimes when you get a message, I have only tweaked a page, changed the spelling somewhere, or fixed a broken link. Any time I go into the page and do ANYTHING, the change detection tells subscribers it's been changed. If I have added any information, it will be posted at the bottom of the first page with the date it was added. There has been some confusion about that and I hope this clears it up. I hope you all are dealing well with the Spring Pollen and allergies. It sure has been warm early this year. Happy hunting everyone, and have a great Spring and Summer. I have lots of family information and a few pictures at site listed below.
David C. is .with Alfred D. Stewart family 1860 Bradley Co., Ark. says age 10 born TN. I've not located a marriage record for him, nor found them on 1870 Census. I'm guessing David and Lizzie Forester marry about 1869-1870. Can find no record of Marriage. He either leaves or dies by 1877 Daughter Drener b. 28Oct.,1871 d. 6 May,1946 Cleveland Co. Paralee b. 1873 Ark., dies abt 1933 Lawton, Ok. Area. No Death Cert. to be found. * this is ours m. Alex Reed 1890 Cleveland Co. He dies abt 1904 comes to Bell Co., Texas (as brother Alfred working on a ranch out from Rogers, Tx.) with 3 ch. m. Charlie Brown who kills himself,(he supposely followed her from Ark.); then by 1920 is married to Pete Woodard, living in Waco, Texas, then don't know what happened other than she died in Ok. abt 1933 alone living and working in a rooming house. They think she went to Ok. because she had family there.? Alfred C. b. 1875 d. 1975 Bell Co., Tx. Can't get a copy of his D.C. Yet as I'm not immediate family. 27Feb., 1878 Elizabeth "Lizzie" marries Ben Glover in Cleveland Co., Ark. Then he dies 1889, and she marries another Stewart, supposely brother to David, who was a wd. with 8 children, Then by 1900 still in Cleveland Co. she is a wd. on Census. Then about 1904 her, Paralee, dau. Ella b.1880 m. Geo. Reed, all come to Rogers. Drener's family come for a while, but go back to Cleveland Co., Ark. Jenny
