Hey Pat, Yes we have e-mailed each other regarding the Holyfield name. I did e-mail my cousin about her and he never returned my e-mail, so I assumed he had know type of information. But I'll certainly keep your email on this. Thank you, Renita Eubanks McDaniel
Does anyone have a JULIUS (or Julious) ADAMS born about 1863, in your group? Or any DEARMANs? This is what little information I have finally found about my grandmother's family. She was part Native American. Bradley Co., Ark. marriage record for JULIUS ADAMS (age 24) and MAGGIE DEARMAN (age 18) married January 26, 1887. Her name appears to have been MARGARET ANN DEARMAN, and was also known as ANNIE. By 1900 she was listed as a widow living in Calhoun Co. Shortly thereafter she married Alfred Tom SPRY and was living in Tinsman as of the 1910 census. She died in 1912. Her tombstone reads "Annie Spry 12 Nov 1868, 5 Aug 1912". 1868 agrees with her age on the marriage record, but the 1900 & 1910 census records list her as 4 years and 2 years younger. 1900 Census, Calhoun Co, Jefferson Twp, Ar 309/311 - Margaret Adams (Nov 1872) widow - AR AL Al Theresa (Nov 1887) Mary J. (Nov 1888) Uretha (Wreatha) (Mar 1894) Ida B. (Mar 1897) (Note: Ida B. is IDA BELL ADAMS (Spry step-child), who married Thomas Alexander THOMASON, son of Wm Lafayette Thomason and Elizabeth Jane EARNEST) 1910 Census, Calhoun Co, Town of Tinsman, Ar 33/35 - Wreatha Adams - 17 yrs - servant lives w/Jacob & Cora McKnight) I believe she is buried in Bradley Co. Any information at all about any of these people, or their relatives would be most appreciated. Thanks, Elaine Thomason Biber i
Oops, I forgot to tell you that they were later called Holderfield after the death of Berry. Pat
Renita, I am not sure if we have emailed in the past, so please forgive me if I have asked you this question before. I would like to know if you have a Berry and Mahala Holyfield in your line? I would like to know Mahala Holyfield's maiden name if you have it. Berry Holyfield was in Clark County MS. before comming to Bradley/Cleveland Co. about 1851. he was the bondsman in my Susan Covington and Thomas Burgoyne marriage. Thank you ver much for your time. Pat
I also have distant relatives in this cemetery. My grandmother's name was Jeffie Mae Holderfield Eubanks, her mother's name was Mary P. Hopson. I believe there are a few Hopson's buried in that cemetery, but I don't know my relationship to them. Renita Eubanks McDaniel
