Cash, born and reared in Georgia., moved to Arkansas in 1858 and settled in what is now Cleveland County, Arkansas, Reuben Cash was a much esteemed member of the Missionary Baptist Church... He was also a member of the Masonic Fraternity. He was a farmer by occupation. A daughter of Reuben and Mary Felicia Cash was Mary F. Cash, a native of Georgia, born in 1837. She died in 1862 in what is now Cleveland County to Dr. George England, eldest of 10 children, reared on his father's farm, received a rather limited education. At age 18, he began farming by clearing land for himself. Dr. England came to Arkansas in 1859, There were seven children in this family, five sons and two daughters. The children listed were as follows Joseph M. England, John England,George Powell England, Robert A. England., Junius W. England and Pharlishia Mary England. Dr. England joined Co. B., Second. Arkansas calvary and served in Tennessee, Mississippi, Texas Louisiana and Missouri. Both husband and wife are buried in Cherry Cemetery Mt Elba Road Cleveland Co. Ark Her name was spelled Pheletia in his will. This Mary F. Cash that married Dr. George England was a sister of our grandfather William Henry Cash she was the oldest child of Reuben Cash and Mary Felicia White Taylor and grandfather William Henry Cash was the tenth child in this Reuben Cash Family. This note by Marie Cash is based on the Census of Georgia for 1850 and also information from Mrs. C.W. Cash of Hartwell, Georgia, the former Beatrice Irene Cash from the- same Cash family line as we are, s worked on Cash genealogy for many years and has helped me so very much. We all owe her a great deal of gratitude for her patience and efforts in helping me to work out the early Cash history charts. She was tireless in her efforts and must have written me as many as fifty letters, always sending charts, wills and cemetery records from her research also, marriage records from Virginia and Georgia. I can assure you this hasn't been an easy task I have worked hard over two years to make this genealogy Cash Family available to us I have never enjoyed anything more in my life.

    3. I truly have some confusion in my family line!! In my great grandfather's obit, it is stated that he was the son of Wiley and Josephine Reed White. In the obit of my g-grandfather's brother, Thomas Duncan White "Jim" it is stated he was the son of Wiley and Josephine Turner White. This is an area that allows us to know that whoever gives the information for obits, can often be wrong...I just can't figure out which was right!! My g-grandfather was the oldest child of Wiley and Josephine Turner/Reed White. I guess it is time to order death certificates on the two brothers! 3. Jann, Yes, there were two separate Turner Families in Rison, Cleveland Co. Still living in Rison are Jimmy and Jeff(rey) Turner... they were the sons of Aubrey Turner who died a number of years ago. Jeff's mother still lives in Rison, also---Louise (Turner) Dawson; she was Aubrey's second wife; she remarried after his death. The other was the Virgil Turner family...Virgil was born abt 1909 and died in 1980; his wife was Ruthie May Roberts...I'm not sure how many children there were; I only knew of two - Bobby and Virgil who has also died...not sure about Bobby. If either of these are ones that you're researching, I'll be glad to find further information for you. 3. Benita, I know just enough about the Turners to be dangerous!! My gg-grandmother was Mona Josephine Turner born Feb. 1858. She supposedly was the daughter of Tom and Sally Turner, both born in North Carolina. She married first, to Wiley White in Cleveland Co., and after his death she married T.J. Lunsford. Again, supposedly, Tom Turner was killed in the Civil War. I can't find him on any census, or my blind eye doesn't see him, if he's there! Does any of the above 'match' your records?? jann Jann, My husbands mother was a turner from > Cleveland > County. Her father was Robert Franklin Turner and > His > father was Thomas Ed Turner. All from Cleveland > County. Let me know if you need more info.
