The Piggott Times, September 6, 1989 Lester TUCKER, son of the late John and Villa LATHAN TUCKER, was born on Sept. 23, 1915 in Fieldcamel, AL., and died Sept. 3, 1989 at the Piggott Community Hospital at the age of 74 years He was united in marriage to Lillian WARD and was preceded in death by three children and three brothers. He is survived by his wife Lillian of Piggott; seven children, Reba Mae NIXON of Jonesboro, Johnny TUCKER and Gary TUCKER of Piggott, Alice Faye TUCKER of California, Jimmie TUCKER and Larry TUCKER of Mississippi; and Billy TUCKER of Pollard; four stepchildren, Betty CHOATE of Lakeland, Fla., Shirley Ann BROWN of Dundee, Fla., Freda KURTZ of Ohio, and Jerry BROWN of Lakewell, Fla.; 19 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren, one brother Frank TUCKER of Rockford, IL., five sisters, Maggie LINZY of Ashland, Miss., Rosie CHILDRESS of Holcomb, Addie Lee THOMPSON of Holly Springs, Miss., Bertie BARNES of Hernando, Miss., and Mary SMITH of Somerville, Ala., and many other relatives and friends. Graveside services were held at 2pm Monday, Sept. 4, at the Piggott Cemetery with Bill HUTCHINGS officiating. Interment was in Piggott Cemetery with Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Sam BLAKE, Ed BAKER, Lewis KAPPELMAN, Jim SCHEFFLER, Robert DECANTER and Bobby DAVIS.
