Hi y'all! I'm looking for anyone who might have info on the CATO family who was in Clay Co. in the mid to late 1800s. They (some of the CATO children) were living in Clay Co. with the GRIMSLEY family & both families came from up around Bollinger/Wayne Co., MO. Supposedly, the 2 families were smuggled out of MO in the Civil War by the CATO slaves & Mr. GRIMSLEY was a 'higher up' (General or Colonel) in the Confederate troops. Do either of these names sound familiar??? Thanks! Bonnie
