    1. ENGLAND

    3. The main surname that I am researching in Clay county is ENGLAND. My great-grandfather was named John England, which doesn't help much since there were a ton of John Englands. There is no indication that there was a middle name. >From talking with family members, he may have had a brother named David and some sisters. There may be a tie to the trucking company named ENGLAND, that has the ENGLAND family crest on the trucks (this connection through David's line supposedly). Again, family says they may have settled in the Peach Tree area. John ENGLAND married Viola FOUST in 1905 in Jackson County. (She had been married before to a Jim? Veach.) First kids were born in Faulkner county, then they are back in the Pocahontas area. children: Hubert, Carl, John E., Nora B. (Belle), Lena, Dewey, Lorraine. In the family, it is "known" that John ENGLAND was half Cherokee Indian. I know nothing about his parents other than they were supposed to have been fromthe Peach Tree area. I would love to find someone else researching this family.
