The Piggott Times, 5/27/1998 Floyd James SKELTON, 83, of Piggott, formerly of Humboldt, TN., died Wednesday, May 20, 1998, at the Piggott Nursing Center after a long illness. He was born Jan. 31, 1915, in Waynesboro, TN., the son of the late Martin and Lessie SKELTON. He was a member of Grace Methodist Church and was retired from the Brown Shoe Company. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Effie GOODWIN SKELTON; one son, William; four brothers; and two sisters. He is survived by one daughter, Norma Dean VINCENT and husband, Sonnie, of Wentzville, MO; one son, Floyd, Jr and wife Gail, of McDougal; three grandchildren, Lisa, Debra and Brian; three greatgrandchildren, Stefanie, Jessica, and James; one brother; six sisters; and his exceptional caregiver Estelle VINCENT. Funeral services were held at 10:30 am Friday, May 22, at the Shelton Funeral Home in Trenton, TN. Burial was in the Grier's Chapel Cemetery.
