The Piggott Times, May 5, 1998 Cordie DAVIS BEAVER, 90, of Piggott died Friday, May 1, 1998, in the Piggott Nursing Center in Piggott. She was born March 22, 1908 in Rector, the daughter of the late W.F. and Toy Bell BUSBY EVANS. She was united in marriage to Thomas Noah DAVIS on August 24, 1924. To this union four children were born. She then was united in marriage to Everett BEAVER on April 11, 1971. She was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by both her husbands; one son, Clois DAVIS; one brother, Dallas EVANS and one stepson, Robert BEAVER. She is survived by one son, Claude DAVIS of Piggott; two daughters, Geraldine MANN of Piggott and Pauline REAGAN of St. Peters, MO; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one sister, Laverne RENARD of Piggott; four stepsons, Lester, John, and James BEAVER, all of Piggott and Cloyse BEAVER of Bardwell, KY; one stepdaughter, Evanell TURNER of Piggott; 21 step-grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; five step-great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Sunday, May 3, 1998 at 2 pm in Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Mike CHADWICK officiating. Burial was in Piggott Cemetery with Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers were Francis BRADY, Lonnie HARMON, Eldon PARRISH, Ronnie SETTLEMOIR, Robert VARNER and Donald WILKES.
