I believe they may have been living in Clay Co. off and on some are buried at Hitt Cemetery in Success. Looking for grave and death dates for Eli Hovis he married Tabitha Barrett and had George, Randolph, William, John, Nancy, Arminita. I found them in Randolph Co in 1860 and 1880 census but can not find them in 1870census, Did they move back to Clay Co? Any info greatly appreciated. Also trying to find out date of marriage for John A Hovis, he married Annie Little we believe around 1916.
