I am tracing my Gates line in Clay and Randolph Co. This particular line I believe was in Clay Co. I am hoping to connect with someone who has knowledge of William Gates who was married to Marsha (Marshie) They had 2 children, who I will not name as they are still living. My information is scanty as I am trying to do this long distance for a second cousin that I do not know, and who has given me very little to go on. James Henry Alford Gates, was the father of the above William. It is possible that this James was the son of Michael Gates.
