To those who are interested....Peach Orchard is in Clay County. If it was in Randolph at one time, I am not aware of it...BUT it is rather close to the county line so possible. I have a cousin who was raised in Peach Orchard. She tells me that there are only 2 cemeteries in the area that she is aware of. Pirtle, which I mentioned earlier and is several miles outside of the town of Peach Orchard, to the west. And Brown's Chapel cemetery. This is in no way is answering Ruth's question however. Ruth, Peach Orchard is a tiny little place. I doubt seriously that there are many computers there. I have yet to make contact with any one there in 2 years on line. Most of the younger people have left, going to the cities for work. I do not know if you will find someone who would be going to Peach Orchard who could look this up. I have had luck contacting funeral homes in the area where the deceased died. The only funeral home I am familiar with in Corning is...shoot, can''t remember the name, but my grandfather died in P.O. in 1943 and they prepared his body. It is Emmett or Ermet something or other. Try getting on the ARCLAY-L@rootsweb list. They are very helpful, and I am sure if you request it, that someone will send names and addresses of the Corning area mortuaries. I have found these to be good sources of information and they usually reply quickly. I have not requested a death certificate from AR, but most states will search for a set number of years for you when you request a death certificate but do not have a date. Can someone elaborate on this? Gena Gates Lally Mesa AZ At 10:13 PM 3/20/99 EST, you wrote: >Hi, I am thinking that there were some Higgs buried in Peach Orchard?
