Jonesboro Sun September, 24, 2004 Ramsey CORNING -- Charles Ramsey, 73, of Corning died Wednesday, Sept. 22, at St. Bernard's Medical Center. Born at Ingram, he was a farmer and worked at Magee Picture Frame Outlet. He was an Army veteran and a member of the Success First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Sue Ramsey of the home; three daughters, Susan Gwinn of Maynard, Verna Godwin of Corning and Pam Esparza of Mesquite, Texas; one son, Steve Ramsey of Corning; one sister, Essie Furlow of Sherwood; eight grandchildren, April Allison, Teri Nelson, Brandi Crouse, Amber Wyatt, Nick Steele, Derek Gwinn, Zachary Ramsey and Dustin Ramsey; eight step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Laura Ramsey; and a great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ermert Funeral Home Chapel in Corning, with the Rev. Wayne Baldwin officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
