He died Tuesday, January 9, 2007 in wichita, Kansas. He was 64. He was a Boeing Aircraft reliability engineer of Wichita, Kansas. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Leoma REID KNOWLTON; two daughters, Tammy and Pamela KNOWLTON, all of Wichita, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Junior, Cratis and Norman KNOWLTON all of Success, Carl KNOWLTON, Conway, Buren KNOWLTON, Doniphan, MO and Robert "Bob" KNOWLTON, Ocala, Florida. MARY HARPER Mrs. Mary TOLER HARPER, Peach Orchard, was born in Peach Orchard to Gay and Mabel MARTIN TOLER, October 4, 1916 and died Tuesday morning, January 23, 2007 in Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO. She was 90. Mrs. HARPER, former mayor of Peach Orchard for 12 years, was retired from the Missouri Pacific Railroad. She was a member of Peach Orchard Methodist Church and Worthy Matron of the Peach Orchard Chapter 595 Order of the Eastern Star in 1967. She loved researching history of her family and the city of Peach Orchard. Mrs. HARPER is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann SMITH (nee LANDERS) and son -in-law Dan SMITH, St. Louis, MO; granddaughters Cassandra SMTIH-FIELDS and Donna BRANDT (nee SMITH); six great grandchildren, Amanda, Michael, Zach and Jessica BRANDT and Rose and William FIELDS and brothers John TOLER, Little Rock and Glenn TOLER, Vilonia. She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Wayne SMITH; three brothers, Carl, Eldon and Melvon TOLER; and her husband Abert LANDERS in 1957. HERBERT HARTWIG Herbert HARTWIG, Success, died Saturday, January 20, 2007 in Oakdale Care Center, Poplar Bluff. He was born in Success to Ernest and Bertha SCHMIDT HARTWIG July 3, 1909. He was 97. A farmer he married Norean HARTWIG December 16, 1931. She preceded him in death June 20, 1990. Survivors are one daughter, Wyona AINLEY, Paragould; two sons, Norman HARTWIG, Corning and Larry HARTWIG, Success; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He died in his home Tuesday, January 16, 2007. He was 66. A driver for Sullivan Farms Trucking, he married the former Ruth MILLER September 10, 1960 in Harviell. His hobbies were hunting, enjoying work and being with grandchildren. WAYLAND TAYLOR Wayland TAYLOR, Corning, was born in Maynard to Dewey and Essie PRIDE TAYLOR, July 12, 1943. He died in St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center, Jonesboro Thursday, January 18, 2007. He was 63. A retired firefighter with 20 years of service to Corning Volunteer Fire Department, he was a mechanic by trade and enjoyed stock car racing and coon and deer hunting. He was affiliated with Grace Missionary Baptist Church. January 6, 1962 he married Jeri Lucille RUSH TAYLOR and she survives. A member of Army National Guard, he worked with Pulaski County School District for 26 years as Student Nutrition Bakery District General Manager. He battled cancer for about two years.
