LARRY JOHNSON Larry Andrew JOHNSON, Biggers, was born in Reyno March 16, 1936 to Dennis Fulton and Dona Lee KIRBY JOHNSON. He died in Biggers, April 23, 2007. He was 71. A retired truck driver for L.A. Darling Co., he was a member of the First Baptist Church, Reyno. He is survived by his wife, Mary Vinell STARNES JOHNSON of the home; one son, Terry Dewayne JOHNSON, Reyno; three daughters, Karen Deloris MASSEY, Corning, Cona Lynn HARTWIG, Neelyvile, MO, and Kimberlee Dawn CARTER, Corning; one brother, Thurston JOHNSON, Pocahontas; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ivory JOHNSON and Paul JOHNSON; eight sisters, Lorene MORLEY, Patsy JOHNSON, Imogene REED, Billie LOCKETTE, Bernice BLACKWELL, Margaret Johnson, Lulabell JOHNSON and Anabell JOHNSON. Services Thursday, April 26, 2007 in Reyno First Baptist Church with rober HOVIS officiating. Burial in Richwoods Cemetery under the direction of Ermert Funeral Home. Pall bearers: Chad HOVIS, Jason RATLIFF, Chad CALK, Floyd KOONS, Sam HARTWIG and Doin YANCY. HELEN LUTTRELL Helen LUTTRELL, daughter of Jess E. and Kizzie Jan SALMON SORRELLS, was born July 13, 1919 in Pitman. She died in Southridge Nursing Home, Heber Springs, May 2, 2007. She was 87. Member of Missionary Baptist Chruches in McDougal, Jacksonville and Ferndale, MI. she was an office clerk for Sears-Roebuck, Highland Park, MI. She married James Noel LUTTRELL, Jan. 6, 1936. He preceded her in death Nov. 1, 1976. Survivors include one son inlaw, Charles "Chuck" WADE, Heber Springs; two sisters, Virginia KERR and Sarah (Max) GRAY both of Fair field, IL; 3 grandchildren, Stephen WADE, Greenbrier, Keith WADE, Little Rock and Amy WADE, Jacksonville; 3 great grandchildren, Zachary, Shelby and Parker WADE; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Nola LUTTRELL WADE and one sister, Nita JACKSON. Services were conducted Saturday, May 5, 2007 in Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Loy CULVER officiating. Burial in Post Oak Cemetery, McDougal, under the direction of Ermert Funeral Home. MAGGIE HARPOLE Maggie "Granny" HARPOLE was born Sept. 29, 1912 in Effingham, IL. She died in Randolph County Medical Center, May 7, 2001. She was 94. She was a member of Dell Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include seven daughters, Donna (Danny) KEMPER, Pocahontas, Bonnie (Pete) JACKSON, Dover, FL., Sue (Patrick) HOVIS, Ravenden, Susan (Lesley) HOVIS, Reyno, Sandra (Donald) McCLOUD, St. Louis, Mary Jane (Kenny) WILLIAMS, Dixon, MO, Bernice (Robert) SNYDER, Dassell, MN; two sons, Billy Don (Shirley) HARPOLE, Chippewas Falls, WI and Thomas (Barb) HARPOLE, Dassell, MN; 79 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Funeral services Thursday, May 10, 2007 in Reyno Baptist Church with Roger HOVIS officiating. Burial in Corning Cemetery under the directioin of Cox-Waymon Funeral Home, Pocahontas. GEORGE R. RICE, JR. George Robert RICE, Jr., Grand Rapids, MI was born in Corning Dec. 16, 1928, son of George Robert and Ettie Mae MORGAN RICE. He died May 5, 2007 in Grand Rapids, MI. He was 78. A farmer and construction worker, he was affiliated with Seventh Day Adventist Church. Graveside services were held Wed. May 9, 2007 in Corning Cemetery with Pastor Brandon WESTGATE officiating. Survivors include two sons, Russell RICE and Carl (Doris) RICE; one brother, Jerry HARRIS, one sister, Trena HARRIS; 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Johnt T. RICE and Luther RICE; four sisters, Cladys McILLWAIN, Mary JOHNSON, Francis CHRISTIAN and Della GREEN. Services under the direction of Ermert Funeral Home. JACK MELTON Jack MELTON, Melbourne, was born Jan. 15, 1916 in Melbourne, son of the late Tilford and Ida HANEY MELTON. He died Friday, May 4, 2007 in Murphy Health Center, Piggott. He was 91. Survivors include four grandchildren, Terry GOFF, Grand Bay AL., Michael Melton, Pulaski, TN., Randy FLOYD, Barling, Kathy FLOYD, Mulberry; 8 great grandchildren; daughter inlaw, Jimmie MELTON, Grand Bay, AL., son inlaw James FLOYD, Mulberry; very special friend, Bonnie WIDEMAN, St. Louis, MO., nephews and nieces and other relatives. He was preceded in death by one son, Harold MELTON (1982), daughter Ruthie FLOYD (1978), two brothers and two sisters. Graveside services were conducted Monday, May 7, in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard with J.T. ASHLEY officiating. Burial in New Hope Cemetery under the directioin of Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home, Piggott. JUANITA GAIL CAMPER Juanita Gail CAMPER, Doniphan, formerly of Fairdealing, MO was born in St. Louis, MO, Dec. 20, 1956. She died April 29, 2007 in Barnes Hospital, St. Louis. She was 50 years of age. She enjoyed bluegrass and gospel music and caring for others. Sept. 29, 1974 she married Alvin L. CAMPER and he survives. Other survivors are two sisters, Rebecca CORY, Doniphan, Deborah BOWLING, Carthage, MO; two brothers, Robert WEBB, Dexter and Daniel WEBB Oklahoma; many nieces and nephews. Graveside services were conducted Thursday, May 3, 2007 in Oak Grove Cemetery near Doniphan under the direction of Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel, Neelyville. DR. SAM MICKEY Dr. Samson A. MICKEY, Doniphan, MO. died Friday May 4, 2007 in his residence. He was 55. Born December 21, 1951 in Poplar Bluff, MO, he was a practicing chiropractor and a member of His Place Church. Dr. MICKEY was a member of Missouri State Chiropractic Organization, Kiwanis Club, Chamber of Commerce and Westwood Hills Country Club. He enjoyed playing golf in his leisure time. January 7, 1977 he married Alice GUESS. She survives. Other survivors are one son, Kyle MICKEY, Doniphan; one daughter, Abby MICKEY, Doniphan; one sister, Delilah KENNON, Wheeling WV.; one half-sister, Sally EDWARDS, Springfield, MO. A "Celebration of Life" will be held Friday May 11, 2007 in His Place Church, Highway 160, East of Doniphan from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. with Ben JORDAN officiating. Memorials may be made to Missouri State Chiropractic Association, Ozark Foothills Family Resource Center of His Place Church. to be continued..................................
