Austin (Tony), age 88, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2006, at the Waunakee Manor Health Care Center [Waunakee, WI]. Don was born July 27, 1918, to Morris and Era May (McGinnis) Austin of Piggott, [Clay county] Arkansas Don was part of the "Greatest Generation" who fought in World War II in the Pacific and Korean War as part of the crew in B-24s, B-26s and B-29s. After his retirement from the Air Force, Don lived in Japan where he taught English as a second language and the Philippines where he sold investments. He later lived on the coast in Costa Rica where he loved to watch the sunsets on the ocean. Don received his B.S. and master's degree from Florida State in Far Eastern Studies. Don is survived by his two sons, Bill (Pamela) of Waunakee, and Chris (Bernice) of Glendale; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; his brother, Bobby (Gloria) of Branson, Mo.; a special nephew, Larry (Irene) Austin of St. Louis, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews.
