    3. Recent obits taken from the Clay County Courier, Corning, Clay County, Arkansas. OLLIE DENTON Ollie DENTON, Reyno, was born August 11, 1913 in Myrtle, MO to George and Nancy VANZANT FORD. She died Nov. 1, 2006 in Walnut Ridge Nursing and Rehab at the age of 93. A member of Old Reyno Fee Will Baptist Church, on February 19, 1935 she married Harry DENTON who died Oct. 28, 1985. Survivors are two sons, Donld DENTON, Biggers, Jimmy DENTON, Reyno; one daughter, Betty CRUMP, Reyno; one sister, Amy SUTTON, Wentzville, MO; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Nancy FORD; three brothers, James "Boss" FORD, Cecil FORD and Tom FORD; three sisters, Ellen BAXTER, Edith FORD and Pauline LANDS. Services Monday, Nov. 6, 2006 in Ermert Funeral Home Chapel, Corning with Rev. Roger HOVIS officiating. Burial in Nelson Cemetery, Reyno, under the direction of Ermert Funeral Home. WAYNE LEONARD Wayne LEONARD was born in Reyno May 26, 1921 to John Edward and Nan EDINGTON LEONARD and died Nov. 5, 2006 in his residence. He was 85. A police dispatcer for City of Corning Police Department, he was of the Pentecostal faith. He married the former Lora Irene CREAMEANS, who died Dec. 26, 1990. Survivors include four sons, Eddie LEONARD, Doniphan, MO, David LEONARD, Corning, Don LEONARD, Booneville, MS, John LEONARD, Corning; four daughters, Betty CROSSEN, Corning, Ella HATHAWAY, Corning, Donna PEARSON, Weleetka, OK and Lynn NISWONGER, Dardanelle; 41 grandchildren; 80 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Nan LEONARD; wife, Lora Irene LEONARD, three children, Jerry LEONARD, Deborah LEONARD and Fred LEONARD. Services Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006 in Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Corning Cemetery under the direction of Ermert Funeral Home. Pallbearers: John CROSSEN, Scott CROSSEN, Terry CROSSEN, Joe LEONARD, Andrew NISWONGER and Stacy LEONARD. ANNA K. WERTENBERGER Anna Kathryn (FICKERT) WERTENBERGER was born in Corning, Nov. 2, 1924 to Peter and Goldie FICKERT. She died in Woodland Manor Nursing Home, Arnold, MO, Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2006. She was 82. Survivors include three daughters, Juanita (Michael) BRANSON, Festus, MO, Glenda (Vernon) WEBB, Festus, MO, Brenda (Marvin) ZIPPERER, Greenleaf, WI; two sons, Gary (Carla) WERTENBERGER, Festus, MO and Jim (Diane) WERTENBERGER, Mehlville, MO; two sisters, Christine LAW, Florissant, MO and Faye MIZELL, Corning; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by one brother, Tom FICKERT and one sister, Hilda HOLLAND.
