    3. Hi Rita, Thanks for the reply re to Russell-Ermert Funeral Home. Since I am not very familiar with Corning, I am still not real clear just where you are talking about. Did the front of the funeral face the railroad tracks? Do you know the present name of the street on which it was located? I must assume that the building is no longer there?? Any additional information will be helpful. BettyTucker Rita HICKS DonCarlos <[email protected]> wrote: Betty, I called my Dad and he said the old funeral home was down town on the hiway. After you crossed the tracks coming into town it was about a 1/2 block down on the right. So it was close to the RR tracks. He also said it was in the building of the old Irby Funeral Home. Hope this helps!! ....................Rita Sometimes, the angels fly close enough to you that you can hear the flutter of their wings.......... -- Betty Tucker wrote: Hi List, Does anyone know where the old Russell-Ermert Funeral Home in Corning was located?? I recall as a child back in 1950's being there for the funerals of my grandparents who lived in Corning. However, I was to young to remember its location and would love to know. I can still picture the funeral home in my mind and it seems like it may have been near railroad tracks but not sure about that. Also, if anyone would have a picture that would be great.
