My father lived in that area from 1896 until 1912. He collected arrow heads also and kept them in Lard buckets. There was a Cherokee village located east of the St Francis River right across from Blue Cane and Leonard. These Indians came there from Georgia and Tenn before 1800. and stayed until the 1830's leaving for Texas. Their hunting grounds were between the Mississippi and the Black river. They fought back and fourth with the Chickasaw over hunting the area between the Black and St Francis Rivers. You can still find there now after a rain especially after it is plowed. There was some Osage near there also.
Thank You everyone for you help with the arrowheads that came from Success. Sincerely, Mary Johnson
