Henry Wayne GARDNER, Jr., Neelyville, was born Feb. 17, 1981 in Louisisana to Henry Wayne and Christine TURNER GARDNER. He died near Neelyville, Sunday, May 20, 2007. He was 26. A lifelong resident of Butler County, he was employed as a farmer. Feb. 28, 2004 he married Tracy BYRD in Neelyville and she survives. Other survivors are two children, Courtney and Mckayla GARDNER both of Neelyville; mother Christine GARDNER , Neelyville; two sisters, Krystal GREEN, Fairdealing and Sherry (Shawn) GARNER, Naylor; brother David GARDNER, Bald Knob. He was preceded in death by his father in 1998. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, May 24, 2007 in Fowler Sullivan Memorial Chapel with Rev. Donnell McCOMB officiating. Burial in Naylor Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Fowler Sullivan Memorial Chapel. MELVIN WHITE Melvin WHITE, Naylor, was born Oct. 21, 1922 in Neelyville to John Logan WHITE and Ada WARREN WHITE. He died in his home, Wednesday, May 23, 2007. He was 84. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a etired machine shop operator and had lived in Naylor fr 25 years. He was a member of Moark Highway Tabernacle Apostolic Church. He married Anna Lee FALLIN, who preceded him in death in 1984. He married Verneal KNOWLTON, Sept. 26, 1988 and she survives. Other survivors are two children, Joyce BAKER, St. Louis, MO and Mark WHITE, Naylor, MO; two sistes Velma WILLIAMS, Moark and Betty STEPHENS, Fredericktown, MO; one brother Herman WHITE, Naylor, MO; 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildern and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, parents and one child, Barbara Sue CANADA, one sister Ida BURNETT and two brothers Marvin WHITE and Raymond WHITE. Services were conducted Friday, May 25 in Fowler Sullivan Memorial Chapel with Rev. Billy SNOW officiating. Burial in Corning Cemetery under the direction of Fowler Sullivan Memorial Chapel, Neelyville. JEFF POTTER Jeff "Tonto" POTTER,Neelyville, MO was born Aug. 2, 1972 in St. Louis, MO to Norman and Ruth MILLER POTTER. He died in a motorcycle accident near Harviell May 25, 2007. He was 34. An employee of Cassinger Sawmill he was a lifelong resident of Butler County. Other survivors are three children, Dusti POTTER, Poplar Bluff, MO., Stephany POTTER and Cynder POTTER of the home; one grandson, Logan HALE, Poplar Bluff. Services were conducted Saturday May 26, 2007 in Fowler Sullivan Memorial Chapel with Ray VANDOVER officiating. MICHAEL PRESLAR Michael D. PRESLAR, Harviell, MO was born July 5, 1951 in Gideon, MO to Douglas Willard and Edna Ellen TOWERY" PRESLAR. He died in St. Francis Hospital, Cape Girardeau, MO Tuesday, May 22, 2007. A sawmill operator and Member of VFW (Missouri National Guard) his hobbies included hunting, fishing, playing pool and raising a garden. He married the former Sherry Kay JONES, June 14, 1970 and she survives. Other survivors are four children Rebecca (LENARD) LYRE, Longview, TX, Mike (Darla) PRESLAR, Neelyville, MO, Miranda PRESLAR, Harviell, MO, Eli DAWES, Fairdealing, MOl; mother Edna PRESLAR, Poplar Bluff; sister Kaye GATLIN, Joplin, MO,; brothers Rodney PRESLAR and Scott PRESLAR both of Harviell, MO; eight grandchildren. Services were conducted Saturday, May 26, 2007 in Fowler Sullivan Memorial Chapel. Burial in Memorial Gardens, Poplar Bluff, MO. to be continued.......................................
