She died August 8, 2006 in Pocahontas Health and Rehab Center at the age of 94 years. Nomvember 10, 1930 she married Carl HAMLIN, Sr., who preceded her in death, March 2000. Survivors are one son, Carl HAMLIN, Jr., Brookings; one daughter, Joyce GATES, Paririeville, LA; one twin brother, Henry HIGGINBOTHAM, Pocahontas; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Graveside services were conducted in Pirtle Cemetery, Peach Orchard, saturday, august 12, 2006. Burial under the direction of Ermert Funeral Home, Corning. IVA MASON Iva MASON was born in Peach Orchard to John William and Margaret Myrtle WHITSON GATES, April 5, 1913. She died in her Knobel home, August 9, 2006. She was 93. Retired from Knobel School cafeteria and farming, she was a member of Knobel Assembly of God. Survivors include one brother, Leroy GATES, Phoenix, AZ; one sister, Virginia Jenny LOWERY, Mt. View; one shared daughter, Judy (Jack) McDONALD, Knobel; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Ira GATES, Elvis GATES, Paul GATES, Melvin Dago GATES and Edward GATES and husbands, W.A. HERRING, John BARKSDALE and Clarence MASON. Memorials may be made to Hospice or other charities. HAROLD RIGGAN Harold RIGGAN, Sr., 90, Corning, died August 21, 2006 in Arkansas Methodist Medical Center, Paragould. He was owner of Corning Implemant Company and had been a John Deere dealer since 1948. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and received a Bronze Star. He was a member of Corning Masonic Lodge # 719 and a member of first United Methodist Church, Corning. Harold RIGGAN was united in marriage to Clydruth CARLLEY RIGGAN, December 14, 1941. She preceded him in death, June 10, 2005. Survivors include one son, Harlod "Blue" RIGGAN, Jr., and his wife, Kathryn, Corning; two grandsons, Kody RIGGAN and wife Carla, Paragould, Russell RIGGAN and wife, Missy, Kirkwood, MO; four great-grandchildren, Carson, Cade, Will and Carlley RIGGAN. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clydruth, his parents, Leonard L and Gerturde RIGGAN; brother, Herbert RIGGAN and an infant brother. A factory worker and machine operator, he was affiliated with Union Assembly Church of Knobel. February 14, 1004 he married Donna Jean MILLER BOOTH. Survivors include his wife, Donna BOOTH; two daughters, Lisa Diane BOOTH, Paragould, Shenna Michelle ALLS, Larado; one son, Steven Wayne BOOTH, Paragould; three stepchildren, Patrick MILLER, CA, Angela ROARK, Corning, and Brandy WHEELER, Mt. MARGIE STORMES Margie STORMES, Corning, was born April 2, 1948 in Sikeston, MO to James Mitchell and Mary PARKS STULL and died in her residence August 17, 2006. She was 58. Member of Corning First Baptist Church, she married Darrell Eugene STORMES January 1, 1968. She worked in the BRAD Head Start kitchen. Survivors are her husband, Darrell STORMES of the home in Corning; one son, Toby (Melanie) STORMES, Corning; one grandson, Ryan STORMES; mother, Mary STULL, Neelyville, MO; one sister, Joyce COLTER, Corning; four brothers, Benny MITCHELL and family, Michigan, Laverne MITCHELL and family, Michigan, Don MITCHELL and family, Neelyville, MO and Dennis MITCHELL and family, Michigan.
