RUBY ELLEN MARTIN Mrs. Ruby Ellen MARTIN, Pocahontas, was born in Oxly, MO January 6, 1913 to James Albert Frances and Leean SCHICKLES MARTIN and died September 15, 2006 in Randolph Home, Pocahontas. She was 94. A homemaker and member of Big "T" Apostolic Church, her hobbies included quiltin, church, fishing and family. In 1930 in Success, she married Elmer MARTIN who preceded her in death November 17, 1971. Survivors include five daughters, Thelma MILLER, Faye HOLLAND, Corning, Wanda (Frank) PHILLIPS, Pocahontas, Hazel (Othel) GREEN, Helen ADEN; three sons, James (Debbie) MARTIN, Poplar Bluff, MO, Gene (Theresa) MARTIN, Delbert (Betty) MARTIN; one sister, alma MILDE, 22 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer MARTIN; two daughters, Vivia Lavern MARTIN and Mary DAVIS; one son, Cleo Harmon; two brothers, Walter Frances and Clarence Frances; two grandchildren, Lavonda Jane MARTIN and Angela Gail MARTIN; one great-grandson, Christopher Derick MARTIN. Funeral services Sunday, September 17, 2006 in Big "T" Apostolic Church with Rev. Bryan MALONE officiating. Burial in Black Cemetery, Success under direction of Ermert Funeral Home. EDNA ALLEN Mrs. Edna ALLEN was born in Corning, June 23, 1913 to Poe and Louticia GAGE CRAFTON and died in Bradford House Nursing Home, Bentonville, September 14, 2006. She was 93. She was the widow of Loren ALLEN, who died April 18, 2002. A member of Corning First United Methodist Church, her hobby was quilting. She is survived by two sons, Bruce (Marilyn) ALLEN, Stuttgart and Dr. Barry (Barbara) ALLEN, Rogers; three brothers, Bob (Bonnie) CRAFTON, Rogers, Eddie Poe CRAFTON, Corning and Lester (Maxine) CRAFTON, Corning; four sisters, Tressie BATTY, Corning, Helen JOHSON, Rockford, IL, Roseman ASCHENBRENNER, Pinkney, MI, Elsie HOLIFIELD, Corning; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers, Carl, Gerald, Tommy, Ralph and Earl CRAFTON and sisters, Lena MULHOLLEN and Shirley WARD. Services were conducted Tuesday, September 19, 2006 in the sanctuary of Corning First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim KEITH officiating. BETTY JEAN TALBOTT Betty Jean TALBOTT, resident of Oak Dale Care Center, Poplar Bluff, was born February 12, 1933 in Neelyville to John and Ruby TALBOTT and died September 17, 2006 in the Center. She was 73. A member of Neelyville United Methodist Church, she was a lifelong resident of Butler County, having lived in Neelyville and Naylor area. She enjoyed crafts and quilting. Survivors include Helen (Jerry) GARNER, Stuart, FL; sister in-law Jean TALBOTT, Neelyville; John Eldon (Lula Mae) TALBOTT, Mountain Home, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ruby TALBOTT, sister Patricia TALBOTT and brother Lewis Rusty TALBOTT. Funeral services Wednesday, September 20 in Fowler-Sullivan Chapel with Rev. Alma Marie Reynolds officiating. Burial in Memorial Gardens, Poplar Bluff under the direction of Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel, Neelyville. DON BURNS Don B. BURNS, Rockford, IL, was born August 10, 1938 in Clay County to Rudolph and Carmen BOYD BURNS. He died in East Bank Rehabilitation Center, Rockford, IL, Friday, September 15, 2006. He was 68. For 46 years he worked in Nylint. In Rockford, on December 17, 1960, he married Carol J. HELSINGER and she survives. Survivors also include, daughters, Cindy (David) BRADY, Houston, TX, Laura (Rob) TESTO, St. Charles, IL, Donna (James) ROLAND, Loves Park, IL and Jennifer (Rob) HENDERSON, Rockford, IL; 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was precede in death by daughter, Christine HUFFMAN and granddaughter, Tiffany HUFFMAN; parents and sisters Wilma SPROUSE and Georgia FITZGERALD. Private graveside services were held in Scandinavian Cemtery with Rev. Dr. William Richard KERR, Sr. officiating under the direction of Olson Funeral and Cremation Services, Rockford, IL. Memorials may be made to Rockford Flood Victims or Salvation Army. GEORGE HORNE George Winston HORNE, Oxly, MO, was born June 15, 1935 in Neelyville. He died in his residence Friday, September 1, 2006 at the age of 71. A lifetime resident of Ripley County and member of Naylor Masonic Lodge, he retired as Postmaster of Naylor and Oxly Post Offices. He was a veteran and member of Doniphan First Baptist Church where he was a Sunday school teacher and on the pulpit board. On August 26, 1958, he married Evelyn Zurhorst at Killen, TX. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Emma Ruth OGDEN, Corning and Patricia SMODY, Neelyville; mother, Elizabeth BARTON, Park Hills; sister Virginia BARTON, Bowling Green, KY; brother Howard HORNE, Jr., Fredericktown, MO; five grandchildren, Robert OGDEN, Gina MURRAY, Eva SMODY, Frank Winston and Skyler SMODY; four great-grandchildren, Star Lyn OGDEN, Lauren Rae OGDEN, Michael MURRAY and Hunter MURRAY; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard HORNE and a grandson, Michael S. SMODY, IL. Services were conducted Monday, September 4, 2006 in the Fowler-Sullivan Memorial Chapel with Rev. Carlton JOHNSON and Rev. Jimmy GILBERT officiating. Burial in Martin Cemetery, Oxly. ANNA LEE WRIGHT Ann Lee WRIGHT, Corning, was born in Piggott, November 3, 1965. She died in Arkansas Methodist Medical Center, Paragould, September 14, 2006. She was 40. A lifelong resident of Clay County, she married Anthony WRIGHT December 27, 1985 in Paragould. Her hobbies include fishing, hunting and playing horseshoes. Survivors are her husband, Anthony Lynn WRIGHT of the home; one son, Brandon WRIGHT, Corning; one daughter, Megan WRIGHT, Corning; three sisters, Linda Lou COLLINS, Corning, Brenda Sue ADAMS, Neelyville and Verla Marie HUFFMAN, Corning; two brothers, Eddie Ellis ADAMS, Jonesboro and Henry Preston ADAMS, Carthage, TX. CHRISTA KETCHERSIDE Graveside services for Christa Marie KETCHERSIDE, Paragould, were conducted Saturday, September 16, 2006 in Hosea Cemetery, Knobel with Rev. Kelsey VALLANCE officiating. Christa Marie was born September 12, 2006 and died that day n Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, Poplar Bluff, MO. She is survived by her parents, Brian Keith and Sunshine Marie RUNYON KETCHERSIDE; grandmother, Mary RUNYON, Knobel; grandfather, Kevin Dwayne KETCHERSIDE, Fayetteville; grandmother, Genuia WYLIE, Tulsa, OK; great-grandparents, Charles and Brenda RUNYON, Marshall, TX and Larry KETCHERSIDE, Paragould. Services under the direction of Ermert Funeral Home. LIDDIE STORMES Liddie STORMES, Paragould, formerly of Knobel, was born in Peach Orchard April 29, 1931 to Hess and Lilly SMITH HUMPHREY. She died in Greene Acres Nursing Home, Paragould, Sunday, September 17, 2006. She was 75. A member of the Pentecostal faith, she enjoyed quilting. On February 12, 1948, she married Jack Willard STORMES who preceded her in death December 26, 2005. Survivors include three sons, Danny STORMES, Walnut Ridge, Ed STORMES, Paragould, Roger STORMES, Stonewall; two daughters, Carol VENSON, Pocahontas, Karen ARNOLD, Walnut Ridge; one sister, Wilma CLAYTON, Rockford, IL; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; parents Hell and Lilly HUMPHREY; two grandsons, Rodney STORMES and Craig STORMES. Burial in Hosea Cemetery, Knobel under the direction of Ermert Funeral Home of Corning. HERBERT E. SELLERS Hebert SELLERS, 92, died in his residence, Sunday, September 10. He was a self employed farmer and had lived in Imboden for the past ten years, moving there from Ravenden. He was a member of Ravenden Church os Christ. Survivors include his wife, Essie Marie EATON SELLERS of the home; one daughter Thena Sue SELLERS, Imboden; one grandson Barry; and one great-granddaughter, Lindsay. He was preceded in death by one son, Elbert Ray SELLERS, granddaughter Eva Marie SELLERS; three sisters and three brothers. Graveside services at Hope Cemetery with Don HOUSE officiating.
