    3. Good Afternoon Vanezza, Are you talking about Woodlawn Cemetery in Rector, Clay County, Arkansas? If you are, I will be going there at Thanksgiving because my mother (87 years old) still resides there. If you have names in the cemetery, I would be happy to take pictures for you. Please advise. 2. My father lived in that area from 1896 until 1912. He collected arrow heads also and kept them in Lard buckets. There was a Cherokee village located east of the St Francis River right across from Blue Cane and Leonard. These Indians came there from Georgia and Tenn before 1800. and stayed until the 1830's leaving for Texas. Their hunting grounds were between the Mississippi and the Black river. They fought back and fourth with the Chickasaw over hunting the area between the Black and St Francis Rivers. You can still find there now after a rain especially after it is plowed. There was some Osage near there also.

    1. ARCLAY New list management system
    2. Barnes Family
    3. http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/review/2006/0823.txt The information below is copied from the August 23rd RootsWeb review, which can be read in its entirety at the URL above. Cathy ===== MAILING LISTS MOVING TO NEW SYSTEM The RootsWeb.com mailing lists are moving to a new list management system. No new lists will be created until this move is completed. Not all of the lists are being moved at one time. It will take about two weeks to complete the process. Additional information about the update and a current schedule can be found at http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/migrate_sched.html How will it affect you? Your current subscription(s) will transfer automatically to the new system so there will be no need to re-subscribe to your list(s). However, because the sending and receiving of list e- mail will be handled by a new system, you may notice a few changes to your list(s). Digest subscribers will notice a small difference in the layout, volume and issue numbers of the list digests. The "-L" is being dropped from the "official" list name. This means the "from" address your mailing list e-mails come from will be different -- [email protected] vs. the current [email protected] You may have to adjust your spam filters or put the new address on your "accept" list to prevent messages from being caught in your "junk" folders. The tools that list administrators use to manage their lists are changing also. If you are a list admin, you should have been contacted in a separate e-mail with more details and a link to a tutorial. RootsWeb appreciates your patience during this transition and hopes that the mailing lists will continue to be a valuable tool in your genealogy research. Cathy

    3. I belong to several other Rootsweb lists and it appears that only people from this group are having problems. Everyone should know that the address of the mail list no longer will included "-L". From what I understand the remaining portion of the address will be the same unless the county will be spelled out in full rather than cut off after the 1st 6 letters such as MODUNKLI for Dunklin Co MO. I also understand there will be no distinction between the regular version and the digest version. I would think that most receive the regular version (receive each posted message within a short period of time). I don't know if this means there will no longer be an option for those who have been receiving the digest version (receiving a week's worth of messages in one email). Personally, when someone responds to a digest version I have no idea as to which message they are actually responding to from the subject name and I find it rather annoying not to see the original message's subjsect. Hopefully the change will help this address this issue. Another list administrator has been keeping his list members up-to-date on the changes and said the new instructions given to the admimistrators was 30 pages long. So everyone will have to be patient and bear with each list's administrator for a while until the changes are made. If you find that this will be a problem, you can always unsubscribe for a while and then re-subscribe at a later date. Also, to keep receiving messages from your various mail lists you may have to go into your personal email provider settings and update where necessary to continue receiving. For those with Yahoo addresses I have a filter coded to send any message with "@rootsweb.com" to my inbox and that takes care of every list I subscribe to.
