My information is that Anna Wallace married Francis Bone married Thomas William Bone and Frances Ann was their daughter. Francis Ann married James Franklin Hill about 191 I think. I am interested in the automobile accident that you mentioned because I believe that Thomas William Bone may have died around 1928. I am also curious as to if maybe Anna Wallace Bone may have remarried after Thomas William Bone died. I know Anna was in White County, AR. in 1930. [email protected]

The others could have married later on. I know that all the children were gone from the home except for Marion Albert Bone by 1920. In 1920 the family was in Peach Orchard, Clay County, AR. and by 1930 some of them , including the mother, Anna, was in White County, AR. I think the father, Thomas William Bone had passed away but I don't know where or when. I believe it was around 1928. Do you happen to know where any of these people died or are buried? Thanks so much for the help. I really appreciate it.

Walker], Sammy, Mary Ellen, Marian Estelle, Virgie Mae, Marion Albert, [ married Geraldine ??] Myrtle Lee, [married Gilbert Martin Wilkinson] and Frances Ann [married James Franklin Hill] . I believe all the childrens marriages took place in Arkansas. I know that by 1930 some of the family was in White County, Arkansas. I would like to know if anyone knows of an existing picture of this train, and exactly what happened to it. I've heard a lot of fascinating stories about it. My Mother lived in Peach Orchard, MO and she also caught a train they called the moose. I am curious if this is the same train with just a long healthy route. Anybody out there give me a hollar sometime. Thank you. June

If you're looking for the burial of Ferdinand (Ruff) Swan, it appears his body was returned to the States for burial. The American Battle Monuments Commission does not have him listed as being being in any of the foreign cemeteries used for WWII burials. I even checked the national and state military cemetery burial listing site and he is not listed in any of them either. He is evidently buried in a public or private cemetery - wherever his widow decided to have him buried which could have been in her hometown. During WWI and WWII it was not uncommon for a serviceperson to be buried near the death site with a notation in the records made. Then after the war ended, the government removed the bodies and had them shipped home if the family had so designated. I have a cousin who died in 1944 but the body was not returned until 1948 to Missouri. I have heard from others who have said it took 5 to 7 years for the return. I would suggest you check his hometown, his widow's hometown, and the town they were living in when he entered the service to see if he was buried in one of those locations.
