Wade H. GERMAN lived in Oak Bluff in Clay County, Arkansas but died and left a will in Greene Co., AR about 1885. His wife, Martha, may also have died in Greene County as did their son, William J. GERMAN. On 14 Jan 1883 he married a Mrs. M. H. HUMPHEY in Pemiscot County, MO where other of the GERMAN family resided. Wade and Mrs. Humphrey had a son, Reddick "Ike" GERMAN b: 9 Feb 1884 in Rector, Clay, AR. I have been unable to discover who "Mrs. Humphrey" is. I would also love to know where Wade, Martha and William are buried. They do not seem to be in Woodland Heights Cemetery (Clay Co) where many of the family are found. Any help greatly appreciated. She was a life-long Methodist, always active in her church and its programs, serving as an officer in various women's organizations. She loved to travel and through the years she and Tucker toured and did business in countries such as Japan, China, and Mexico and traveling for pleasure in Europe and the Caribbean. After the death of Tucker in 1979, she continued to live in Hever Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tucker BLANKENSHIP; and brothers, James A. "Jimmy" ARNOLD, Gene E. II, serving in the South Pacific with the Seabees. He was a graduate of Rankin Institute of St. Louis and was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Respect Our Neighborhood and was a live member of the PTA. MARTHA SPENCE Martha Dean SPENCE, a resident of Gerald, MO, born Dec. 8, 1929 in Corning, daughter of Emil Karl and Ernida Pauline BIBB HARTWIG. She died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007 in St. Joseph Hospital in Kirkwood, MO. She was 77 She was united in marriage on Feb. 21, 1947 in Arkansas to Calvin Coolidge SPENCE, who preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 2005. A graduate of Corning High School, she received her undergraduate degree from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro and earned a Masters Degree in Education from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville. She began her teaching career in a one-room school house in Arkansas at age 17 and taught at schools in Senath; four other Missouri school districts until her retirement in 1985 A memeber of the Boeuff Presbyterian Church in Gerald, she was a member of the Missouri National Education Association. ONA FAE COLEY Ona Fae CLARK COLEY, 84, resident of Walla Walla, WA. died Feb. 5, 2007 at Park Manor Rehailitaion Center after a lengthy illness. One of 13 children, Mrs. COLEY was born Nov. 23, 1922 in Pocahontas to Francis Marion and Susan Frances PEARCE CLARK. At a young age she and her family moved to the Peach Orchard area where she attended school and played basketball and graduated from Delaplaine High School in 1942. On Feb. 26, 1946 she and Chester W. COLEY married in St. Louis, MO. He died in 2005. In 1948 they moved to Walla Walla, WA. She was a member of Eastgate Missionary Baptist Church. She worked a a retail clerk for Wade's Thriftway for many years and enjoyed spending time with her church's youth camp helping to cook at the summer camp held in the Blue Mountains. Survivors include a sister, Alene KRIGBAUM of Jonesboro; five sisters-in-law; Faye CLARK of Kennewick, WA, Doris CLARK of Corning, Dennis BOOTH of Susanville, CA, Dorothy COEY of St. Louis, MO and Charline ANZALON of Piggott; one brother-in -law, Harold MAPLE of Knobel; many nieces and nephews and the many friends she made over her lifetime.
