Hello, I'm new to this list, but I need help. My ggrandfather: Robert Perry HOUSEHOLDER, his wife: Gerlinda Mae, there son: Elbert Lee (Jack), and Jack's wife Flossie Larine; all died in Clay County AR, and are said to be buried in New Hope Cemetery Pollard, Clay Co, AR. I've written to the cemetery, they sent me info for Robert and Gerlinda, but said that Flossie and Jack are not there. I've written to the Genealogy Society, they said they could find nothing on any HOUSEHOLDER's, however; the library sent me somethings that are for some HOUSEHOLDER's, but nothing for Jack or Flossie. Flossie is supposed to have died around 1940, and Jack died on or around August 23, 1941. During the summer of 1941, according to the family and my dad says he was there, Jack and some others went to a 'Bush Harbor Meeting' *in the Ozarks*, Jack contracted the Typhoid Fever at the Bush Harbor Meeting, and died in August of 1941 from Typhoid. I've sent away for the death certificates for all of these people, but haven't heard anything yet. Where would I find something about the Bush Harbor Meeting, or anything about my grandparents? Any help would be appreciated. TIA Linda

I've heard that there is a book that talks about the settlement of the Peach Orchard area and in it mentions and England that purchased land from the Cherokee in that area. Does anyone know this book and can give me information? My great-grandfather John England was half Cherokee. He was raised in the Paragould area, but not sure if he was born there. I am still trying to locate his parents, but thought there might be a connection. (John England b. 1-25-1867 d. 2-19-1939, one brother David, and six sisters - names unknown, is what I've been told by surviving family members.) Any information would be greatly appreciated!!
