    1. [ARCLAY-L] COLEMAN, Annie
    2. the Barnes Family
    3. I am STILL looking for information about my grandmother, Annie COLEMAN. I have not been able to find out who her siblings or parents were. I am told Annie was full blooded Cherokee, but I have not been able to find anything to prove or disprove this. She had a cousin called Ab Coleman. Ab's mother was Grace and she married a SALES after Ab's father died. Do not know if Ab was short for Abner, Absolom or some other variation. This Coleman family is said to have had family in or near Doniphan, Ripley Co., Mo. I have searched soundex, census, church records, cemetery records, etc. In 1895 Annie COLEMAN was living in Reyno, Randolph Co., Ark. and married my grandfather, John ICENOGLE in Corning, Clay Co., Ark. The marriage license says she was 17, which would have placed her birth year at about 1878-1879. John was from Illinois. The 1900 and 1910 census shows Annie and John living in Nelson Twp., Clay Co., Ark. Annie's birth year is listed as 1879 in Mo. on both census records. The blank for month of birth is left blank on the 1910 census. Grumble. Children of John and Annie Coleman Icenogle: Ella Tempe (deceased, cancer) Zay (deceased) LeRoy (unknown, believed deceased) Margaret (deceased) Unice (deceased, auto accident) Horace (deceased 1950's, train accident) Possibly another named Otis... 1. [ARCLAY-L] JACKSON, GRANADE - Rector, AR
    2. Richard Jackson
    3. I am trying to trace WE (William Edward) JACKSON who was married to Mary Etta GRANADE (b. 1834 in Tennessee, d. August 10, 1859, in greene Co., AR) and lived in the Oakbluff-Rector area. WE JACKSON was originally from KY...but we cannot trace it. All that we have on him is that he was a Teamster during the war between the states. We have traced some of the GRANADE family. WE JACKSON had two sons: Hervey J Jackson (b. January 27, 1860, d. September 09, 1944) and W.E. JACKSON (Jr. ?) (b. January 27, 1860, d. December 25, 1930). WE Jackson we believe was originally from Kentucky and his wife was from Tennessee.... but his action in the Civil War was in Arkansas. It is possible that he may have gone to Clay county, AR, from KY by way of Tennessee. There is a story / rumor that I have heard that WE Jackson was much older than his wife....and that he was murdered by one of the Granade clan....possibly his father in law: Hervey Wynn GRANADE(b. May 01, 1808, in Wilson Co., Tennessee; d. March 11, 1870, in Green County, Arkansas) or a brother-in-law. There is also a chance that WE Jackson was married more than two or three times and that he might have married others in either Tennessee or Kentucky sometime after 1862. any assistance you have to offer in tracing this Jackson line would be greatly appreciated.
