    3. Hi!   On the Boone Co, AR genweb site, there is a  listing in the Alpena Cemetery for an Elizabeth C. Center, born on 28 Nov 1840 and died on 5 Nov 1921, native of SC (married to William Massey Center.) However, I cannot find her in the AR Death Index for either Boone nor Carroll Counties as I think the cemetery is in both counties. Are there any funeral home records in the area dating back to 1921? Without a county or conffirmed death date, I can't order a death certificate. I would really like to see what her mother's name is. I believe it to be one Stacy Fisher (or Evans) from Greenville Co, SC. What interests me is the Fisher surname. Stacy used it in the 1840 Greenville Co, SC census and Evans in the 1830 and 1850 Greenville Co, SC census (children listed as Evans in 1850, but used Fisher surname the rest of their lives.) Stacy died in 1870 and is buried as Stacy Fisher at Glassy Mountain Baptist Church in Greenville Co, SC (I believe it has a Landrum, Spartanburg Co, SC address.) My problem is whether Stacy is a Fisher or an Evans as my gggg-grandfather, James Fisher SR married secondly a Nancy Evans in 1804. I would like to compare information with anyone with connections to this Center family. I have amassed quite a bit of Fisher information and am currently inputting information on this line from the Dark Corner (Greenville Co, SC/Spartanburg Co, SC/Polk Co, NC.) The Fisher family would also like to invite the descendants of Elizabeth C. Fisher/William Massey Center to the 84th annual Fisher Family Reunion which is held the Saturday after Labor Day in Lake Toxaway, NC (Transylvania County). Other families in Boone Co, AR with Fisher connections are the descendants of Thomas Cantrell/Polly Fisher. Tom Cantrell moved about 1870 to the Sugarloaf Twsp area of Boone County around Lead Hill. They are also invited to come 'home' to the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina! A newsletter is printed up in July/August for the reunion info. Anyone wanting a copy of this newsletter, please contact me at my email listed below and I will make sure you get on the list for either an email or  a snail mail copy. Also, you may drop Linda Maxwell-Fisher (President of the Fisher Reunion) to get your name on the mailing list. Patricia Cantrell Columbus, GA [email protected]
