    2. Several years ago I was fortunate enough to purchase a plat map of the township and ranges in Madison County. There were such books for some of the other counties, but the person who did the books filed a copyright and no one knows how to reach him (if he is still living) to get permission to reprint the books. I have not looked for property in Carrol County. I have been advised the the best current source for propery location is the 911 maps printed for emergency responders to use. You might check for those maps and inquire if they have the information you need. Good Luck with your search.
