Smith b. 1831 in TN. I first find him in Locust Bayou in 1850 in the home of George Swetman as a laborer. He marries Sarah Warren October 5, 1853 and they raise children there on what is still known as "The ole Smith Farm" in Locust Bayou. Sometime after 1880 and 1900 they move to Choctaw Nation, OK as they are on the 1900 census there. I would like to know if anyone has a county tax records for the years between 1880 and 1900 to see when he last paid taxes in that area.
