Hi Dorothy, My great grandmother Mittie Florience Byrd Stringfellow was born in 1878. She married Benjamin Franklin Stringfellow on Nov. 9, 1893. I am stumped by your marriage date of Feb 1892 for Mary Saphoronie Lee and Will A. Byrd. I did not know who her parents were until I sent for a copy of her Social Security Application and that is where I got the names. I do have some old pictures of him. But I didn't know the name for sure. I seem to recall my grandmother referring to him as Dr. Byrd but that was a long time ago. I could be wrong. I was in Hampton a couple of years ago and stopped by the court house and found their marriage records. Perhaps Wm A. Byrd had a previous wife who was Mittie's actual mother and he married again in old age? I havn't got a clue here. I knew my great grandparents well. I wish I had asked them about these things back then. Anything you know about them I would appreciate. Thanks, John ----- Original Message ----- From: "dorothy lewis" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, March 04, 2001 2:50 PM Subject: Re: [ARCALHOU] Stringfellow, Byrd > Hi John, > Wm.
