    3. I would just like to thank our list mom for asking for a roll call recently. That prompted me to finally post a message (instead of just lurking) about my ancestors the Stringfellows and Byrds. Then two great people, Dorothy Lewis and Linda Seitz have given me more than I thought I would ever know about the Byrd and Madera lines of my family. I didn't even know there was a Madera line. Well Linda suggested I give an update on my Stringfellow line to Bill McCarty who has a Stringfellow web page which I did. He told a cousin of mine, Steve Stringfellow (our grandparents were brother and sister) whom I have never met about me. Steve emailed me and low and behold we live within 5 miles of each other down her in Florida. Thanks to you all! I guess you could call this an internet family reunion. John Atwood

    3. Jjohn, Hello--I am also a researcher of several Calhoun county lines-----Parker, Slaughter, Davis, Stough and others! I am rather new in this wonderful hobby of genealogy. I noticed you were interested in the Byrd line. My greatgrandmother Sarah Stough's first husband was a Byrd----they had three daughters---he died---she then married John Slaughter---my grandmother and her sister were born.----Just inquisitive-----I'll need to look up this Byrd's first name. I have been off-line for several weeks due to computer problems---could you review your Byrd line at about that time span?----Isn't this fun!!!! Thanks---Marg ----- Original Message ----- From: John Atwood <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, March 18, 2001 9:38 AM Subject: [ARCALHOU] One thing leads to another > I would just like to thank our list mom for asking for a roll call recently.
