Lindsey - researching family of Dr. Green Berry Lindsey who came to Calhoun Co. and the Ouachita Co. area of south Arkansas about 1858. Before this he was born in SC about 1802 and married in Alabama, lived in Mississippi and then to ARkansas. One place he and family were listed under the name Greensberry Lindsey. He had a rather large family. Some children settled in NW Arkansas and Oklahoma while several stayed in the Calhoun or Ouachita County area near Bearden. Green Berry Lindsey, Sr. (Dr.) wifes name was Rebecca, also had a son named Green Berry Lindsey. If any of this sounds familiar or you think you may be a descendant please respond.
