Tidwell, 24, who married David Harcrow, 60, in Calhoun Co., AR, on 9 Dec 1866. (This David Harcrow is probably the same as the David Harcrow born ca 1806 in Elbert Co., GA and married 1st to Joice/Joicy Powell.) Believe David died before 1870 census, as Mary Harcrow, 27, is found in Fayette Township, Calhoun Co., with sons, James -9 (probably son from 1st marriage) and William-3 (assumed son of David). I would like to know who Mary's 1st husband was (if there was one); what happened to her children; and who her parents were also. I am not related to these folks, but I'm trying to trace the Mary Elizabeth Harcrow that married my 3rd great-grandfather, Hartwell M. Lucas on 30 Nov 1872 in Calhoun Co., AR, as his 2nd wife (I am descended from his 1st wife, Josephine Russell). She was listed as "Elizabeth Harcrow, daughter of Harris Harcrow" in the H.M. Lucas profile in the Goodspeed's Biographical Histories of Southern Arkansas, published ca 1890. I have found no mention of a "Harris" Harcrow in the census records or in family trees on the Internet. It's possible that this information was wrong and Mary E. Harcrow was the "widow Harcrow."
