I have WITHERINGTON and ELLIS and HINES and KING connections back in Conecuh County, AL (about 1820-1850 period). John King (wife-Martha C. Witherington) and John Witherington (wife-Mary Ellis) migrated to Ouachita/Calhoun CO about 1847, and settled south of Artesian in lower part of Calhoun (near Bangs Slough). Both had large families, with connections to McKinnie, McDonald, Grant, Merritt & Parker families of Calhoun County.
