All, Despite repeated warnings about opening attachments folks are still doing this. My Norton Anti Virus picked up a Badtrans Virus sent to me from one of the subscribers to this list today. The e-mail virus DID NOT come THROUGH the list! I had posted a message to the Calhoun county queries which was sent to this person as a subscriber, in turn when she/he did not reply to the message the Badtrans virus was automatically sent to me by her computer. This person probably had no idea that they are infected. I sent them an e-mail to notify them and where to go to get rid of the virus. I can't emphasize enough how important it is NOT TO OPEN ATTACHMENTS! Also it is imperative that you have a good Anti Virus detector such as Norton which gives you regular updates on viruses. I am the list-mom on two mailing lists and it can create so many problems. I repeat, you will NEVER recieve a virus from this mailing list, but you can get one from someone who is a subscriber to this lis! t. I have purposely not given the name of the subscriber as they are most likely unaware that have it (until they get my e-mail). Please be careful, this Badtrans is a nasty little bug!
