Dear List Members, We are trying to work our way through this latest Virus War we are in. I have a couple of requests, please read them. 1. DO NOT POST YOUR OWN VIRUS WARNINGS TO THE LIST. PLEASE LET ME HANDLE THIS. If you feel you have a message that is important regarding the virus contact me first. Let me decide if and when to post it. If every member posts when the get the virus, who is sending the virus, what they did to get rid of the virus we will be completely over loaded with virus messages. 2. DO NOT OPEN ANY ATTACHMENT unless you know what it is. I don't care how inviting the subject line is, "homepage", "Read this", etc. We still have list members who, without thinking are opening these attachments and the virus begins all over again. Know that I am here and contacting the infected members and removing them from the lists until they get there systems clean. Remember that this virus is not being spread via Rootsweb, but is being spread via attachments that are being sent out by rootsweb members. If you get a message from me that you have it and are being unsubscribed until you get your system clean, don't be upset, it is not you and we will welcome you back. I am just trying to get this under control for all of us. If you want additional information on what a virus is go to http://ca.com/virusinfo/faq.htm it is an informative site. If you don't have a good Virus Scan, I use Norton Anti virus, you need to get one that you trust and fast. If you are not sure what kind to get, you might want to join the virus discussion list to get additional information on the different programs.
