King was born April 15, 1928, in Tallulah, La., the son of the late Frances and James Robert King, and died May 31, 2007, at his home in Kemp, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife Maria K. King. Survivors include daughters Marty and Rick Gomez, Shirley and Aaron Davis and Rosie Davis; son Robert and Karen King; brothers James King and Leo King; sisters Nita Tye, Margie Woodrum and Wanda King; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
