    3. Steve, I have both Callaways & Quillens in my data base. A quick look gave me Lucinda Ellen Callaway (b. abt. 1856 in AR) m. William Albert Quillen (b. 1853 in MS) on 21 Dec 1871. They had 3 chidlren Holeman, Levi, and Etta. Could this be yours. I don't really think so. Her parents were Martin Pinkney Calaway & Jane Nowlin. But I thought I'd run it past you. brenda Steve Skaggs wrote: > Posted on: Calhoun Co. 1. [ARCALHOU] From List Mom Regarding The Annual "Influx" of "Newbies"
    2. Kathleen
    3. Dear List Members, It is that time of year again when we suddenly will have an influx of new online genealogy enthusiasts with their holiday gift computers that are usually newer and faster than what many of the rest of us have. For a great many of them, it will be their first time online. Some of them will make mistakes and some may (will) unintentionally do things and write things that may be irritating to us and against what we have set up as our list rules. Please take this into consideration in advance and be helpful to them. If things get out of hand, know that I am behind the scenes taking care of the problems. Just remember, one of these new members might hold the clue you have been searching for. Let us not discourage them before they have a chance to learn how this works. I would like also to take this time to wish each of you and yours a wonderful and safe Holiday Season. Kathleen Burnett List Mom

    3. Dear List Members, I am going to leave in the morning, November 15th, for 5 days. I will be attending a Manager's Retreat for my company and will be home this coming Sunday evening. I have way to many lists to find List sitters for them, so I need to ask a favor from each of you. If anything happens on your list which is out of line and against our list rules, not matter what, PLEASE let it pass and just delete it. Know that each evening I will be checking on things from my hotel room and will take care of any problem that happened during the day. I know sometimes it is hard to not say something, but it would help me a great deal if you would just let the offense pass. One more item, if you are needing me to help you unsubscribe, be understanding if I don't respond as quickly as I try to. I will only be near the computer in the evenings in my hotel room. Sending the message more than once to the entire list will not help. I appreciate each of you and all that you do to help my life as your List Mom to run as smoothly as it does. See you on Sunday. 1. [ARCALHOU] WILLIAM P. PARKER - ALICE HAYNES
    2. Posted on: Calhoun Co. Ar Queries Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ar/Calhoun/177 Surname: PARKER, HAYNES, WITHERINGTON, KING ------------------------- WILLIAM P. PARKER - ALICE HAYNES OF CALHOUN COUNTY, ARKANSAS Could William P. Parker, born about 1860, have been the son of Moses & Atha Parker, and a younger brother to George Washington Parker? Wm P. Parker married Alice Haynes in 1899 in Calhoun County. Alice was the dau of Whitley Haynes (CSA soldier) and Francis Ann 'Fanny' Witherington (dau of John & Mary Ellis Witherington). These families lived down below Artesian in Fayette Township, Calhoun County. Thanks for any assistance! Happy Holidays! William R. King, Jr. Houston, TX [email protected] _____________________ Family Data of William P. Parker and Alice Haynes of Calhoun County, AR Generation No. 1 1. William P.1 Parker was born Abt. 1860 (Source: Calhoun CO Marriage Certificate.). He married Alice Haynes August 03, 1899 in Calhoun County, AR, daughter of Whitley Haynes and Frances Ann Witherington. Notes for William P. Parker: Located at the Calhoun Courthouse was the marriage licence of W.P. Parker (39) and Miss Alice Haynes (25), dated 3 Aug 1899, marriage conducted by T. F. Wisinger, JP. Lonnie Parker signed as security on the Marriage Bond. W. P. Parker and wife Alice, are thought to be the William Parker family that Arthur Edward King and son, William R. King (age 2) were living with on the 1900 Calhoun/Fayette census, near the Kate King farm located below Artesian. Parents of W.P. Parker are unknown, but his date of birth, 1860 (as suggested on the marriage records to Alice Haynes), would tend to lead us to believe that he could be the son of Moses & Atha Parker, and a younger brother of George Washington Parker (1st husband of Sallie Harris Parker King >> and my grandmother, Sallie King, who married Arthur Edward King in Feb. 1898 in Calhoun County). Notes for Alice Haynes: Alice Haynes could have married William Parker. See 1900 Calhoun/Fayette Ark Census. Wm Parker & Allis (married less than a year-no children) are living near the farm of Mrs. Kate King (widow of Wm R. King). No proof, but good possibility because of the Haynes-King-Parker relations in south Calhoun County about this same time period.

Ar Queries Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ar/Calhoun/171 Surname: KING, HARRIS, WILLIAMS, PARKER, WITHERINGTON ------------------------- Dorothy, I am also researching many of the same family names that you listed above on the Calhoun County, AR pages..... we MUST exchange info!!!!! I am particularly interested in exchanging info with you on the Rogers/Rodgers, King, Williams connections. My great-grandparents were: JAMES KING and MARGARET ELIZABETH ROGERS (married Dec 1873 in Calhoun County) who were last found on the 1900 Ouachita County Census living in Washington Township (SE corner of Ouachita CO). Their children, including my grandpa and father (Willie King) left Ouachita & Calhoun County in early 1900's for Grant Parish, LA. Have much info on this line to share! Also, LILLIAN KING (dau of James King), married a J. H. Williams in Ouachita County on Oct 2, 1898. Lillian later married Silus Cobb and moved to Grant Parish, LA with her King siblings. Also, I have Harris & Parker connections in Calhoun County. My grandmother, Sallie Harris, first married George Washington Parker in Calhoun County. Following his death, she married my grandpa, Arthur Edward King in Feb 1898 in Calhoun County. In addition, some of the Parkers of Calhoun have connections with the Stough family. Also, tell me about the CAMP family. My father, Willie King (born 1898 in Calhoun Co) attended 3rd District Ag School in Magnolia with a fellow named DOLPH CAMP. Dolph and dad played football on the 1918-1919 football team there at 3rd District School (now Sou Arkansas State Univ). Dolph Camp later became President of Southern State College there in Magnolia about 1951-52. __________________________________________ Descendants of John T.
